SL3 - Optimisation
Service level three of the CoalSync Solution snaps in optimisation, to leverage the consolidated baseline data gathered through the first two levels of service. The architecture supports multiple snap-in modules, enabling a "parallel worlds" view of the chain to be provided. This architecture enables co-ordination models (from SL2) and optimisation approaches to be compared with one another. These can be benchmarked using historical data, or run in a "test drive" mode to evaluate how the scenario 's upcoming scheduling decisions might differ from the current operational model. In this way the CoalSync Solution provides a framework for continuous improvement, supporting the evaluation and managed implementation of improved operational strategies - with reduced risk.
